About Me
I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I recently completed my master's degree within the same department and am continuing my studies under the advisement of Dr. Marie Moore Channell.
Broadly, my research interests focus on better understanding and supporting adolescents and young adults with Down syndrome as they transition to adulthood.
I am originally from Whitehouse, Ohio, a small rural town in Northwest Ohio. I moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2015 and received my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Disability Studies from The Ohio State University in May 2019. I am also a proud first-generation college student!
